I’ve been a life long athlete and the JOGA program spoke to me from an athletic perspective the very first day of practice in 2016! I was looking for a modality that fit my needs and my personality. I love the athletic minded approach and the science behind what we do and WHY we do it. Even now, after coaching 600+ JOGA sessions, I still find excitement in hitting a benchmark!
Favourite part of being a coach: As a former Physical Education teacher, I love seeing clients make the connections in their movements and FEEL the difference in their bodies! As a coach, I love seeing how the SYSTEM is tailored to an athletes’ needs. Whether the focus is performance, injury prevention or breath work to manage stress, we have the tools!
If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be? Hiking with my family or cycling through Europe…
One thing you are grateful for?
The love of my family.
“I had the opportunity to try something completely amazing. JOGA is totally badass. It is yoga but geared for athletes. And WOWZA. So you should join me at the next class and we can all be amazing and badass together #stronglikeamother #joga #bebadass”
“Joga is a great body workout and good for all ages. Jodian is a fantastic teacher who is very engaged with her students...plus she has a fantastic sense of humour 😝”
“Working with Jodian over the past 3 years, I have noticed a big-time improvement in the way I felt physically, but also in the way I was able to elevate the mindfulness component to movement. Jodian does a great job in her evaluation of the body, the current strengths and weaknesses and builds a plan to ensure both overall strength, mobility and balance. These three pillars have improved my game on the field and my recovery off of it. Proper cueing, firing patterns and posture all major components that keeps us athletes healthy, and therefore able to perform. I very much look forward to continuing to work with Jodian and use the benefits of JOGA as part of my off-season and in-season routine. ”
“Joga is similar yet different than other practices like yoga, Pilates, core training etc. The exercises can be adjusted for any fitness level from beginner to experienced. This is a great option for anyone who wants to improve their core strength, flexibility, balance & overall function. The breathing sequence is very helpful for relaxation & calming in everyday life scenarios that are stressful. I highly recommend trying a future session! ”
“JODIAN is a World Class Instructor. Her passion and knowledge are second to none. Every athlete that has experienced her class, has benefited greatly. She is thorough and pays attention to individual detail like no other. I highly recommend JOGA with JODIAN. It is one of the best additions for athletes and non-athletes training regime. Don’t miss it! 5x Team Canada Sprints & Hurdles Coach, Level 4 Certified Sprints & Hurdles, Canada Games Head Coach Track & Field, Canada Games Head Coach Track & Field”
“Joga has helped my recovery, my core strength and conditioning. Most of all however it has helped me tap into my mind and establish the importance of breath work. Being a professional athlete means preparing your body in all facets of training and Joga has helped me do so. ”

“First time JOGA with Jodian - LOVED IT! For those of you who don’t know what JOGA is it’s also known as yoga for jocks. “It’s an athletic based style of yoga, which means you get the benefits of a regular yoga class like improving breath control while at the same time activating the right muscles in the right pattern to correct muscular imbalances in the body. It's designed to expose weaknesses in the body – what this means for someone doing Joga is that the muscles that aren’t active enough will be activated and the muscles which are overactive will have a chance to relax. Another great benefit of Joga is that it works within your own range of motion, instead of trying to force it for certain poses. This allows you to do the poses properly and activate the targeted muscles” - so discovered I wasn’t utilizing my lungs to their capacity and I was using muscles I had no idea I even had - thanx @selfignition4u for the great session #JOGA”
