Channa’ Joga Story
I grew up playing a variety of sports competitively, and though I may not compete anymore I still live with the athlete mindset. I love to challenge myself to be better, whether that’s the way I move, a personal best or my mind frame. JOGA challenges all of those things. I found JOGA by chance while looking for more of an athletic-based yoga. I was instantly drawn to how it forces you to pay attention to how YOU move and not just what part of your body is moving. The language made sense to me as an athlete and it left my body feeling stronger and my mind calmer. I knew JOGA was for me.
As a mom who has two young boys just beginning their athletic journey, I think programs like JOGA are so important as it gives them tools and teaches them how to take care of the bodies both physically and mentally.
When I’m not teaching JOGA or on adventures with my family I also work as a Vision Therapist, helping people improve their visual function.
