My son is a 2010 hockey goalie. Despite participating in goalie clinics and camps, we noticed him sometimes struggling with balance and stability when moving in the net. In one of his goalie camps, he was introduced to yoga – he understood the benefits, but wasn’t really a fan. Recently, he was introduced to Joga by Carlie Chiovetti, a fellow goalie’s mom. He took his first class via Zoom and said he thought it was helpful. However, as an observer, I saw how much he struggled with poses introduced virtually and asked Carlie if she could work with him in-person. Carlie provided hands-on instruction, made corrections to his positioning, and introduced poses and stretches that benefit and challenge him as an athlete, specifically as a goalie. After two in-person sessions, he is already seeing/feeling progress and believes Joga has definite benefits. As his parent, I already see improvements in his balance, posture, stability, and focus – not just in the net, but overall. Joga has provided my son with a way to enhance his athletic performance and build skills off the ice, while keeping his mind engaged. Thank you, Carlie and Joga!

Gary McFarland, Husband, Father, Grandfather – ‘Life Begins at 63’
As an active father of three and grandfather of four, I was looking for something to improve my physical condition. My friend, Carlie, invited me to try out her JOGA class. Traditional Yoga never really worked for me, so I was a bit apprehensive to try Joga. After my first class, I immediately realized that my range of motion, stability, core strength, and breathing techniques were in need of improvement. I have been extremely happy with the results I have experienced over the last year. My lower back pain has virtually disappeared and I feel so much stronger and centered. I recover faster and I can do the sports I love better. Thank you, Carlie. You have inspired me to be my best self.
