Sessions with Greer always push me past my physical and mental limits. She teaches to get comfortable being uncomfortable. I love how she motivates me while connecting the why (mind) to the movement (body).

The program has helped me both physically and mentally. My mobility and balance are day and night compared to when I first started Joga. The focus that comes with Joga has allowed me to improve my mental game both consciously and subconsciously. This translates to my game as well, both on the floor and in the gym when training.
I enjoy the constant learning and improvement, there’s so much to be done within Joga that there is no real ceiling, I’m always improving and getting better.
It’s incredible when you start to play your sport again and realize you have that extra inch or two whether it be reaching for a ball or extended to make a hit, anything at all. Joga also teaches you how to use your breath to calm down and recover faster only making you better. I can see the difference in athleticism when I compare myself to other athletes in my sport or who I train with solely because of Joga.
My Joga coach is Dr.Jo. I love that she always holds me accountable and even if she’s had 10 sessions during the day and seen 10 clients she still shows up as her genuine self and puts the work in so I can put my work in. She has learned a ton about lacrosse on her own account to simply better our sessions and better tend to what I need most. She also brings an incredibly mental game to it, making me sit in holds and clear my mind of any pain to keep going. she’s awesome!
Pascale Desmarais
Hi, my name’s Pascale Desmarais, and I play hockey at Bishop’s University. I’ve been practicing JOGA
for about a year and a half now, and it’s helped me avoid injuries. As a hockey player, hip and groin
injuries are common, and JOGA has helped me gain strength and stability to avoid these injuries. JOGA
is a mental escape, I improve my breathwork and forget about the world for an hour, but I also get a
workout in. JOGA is my secret weapon because I have had ankle surgery within the past year, and it was
my tool to a faster recovery. Dr. Jo is a great instructor, she makes us hold positions until we think we’re
too dead to hold them, then hold them a little longer. She makes me realize my full potential.
Tyler Russel
My name is Tyler Russell. I play hockey for the Los Angeles Jr Kings. I have been practicing JOGA for over 2 years. JOGA has helped me get stronger, especially with the strength in my legs. I really enjoy doing all of the JOGA exercises along with the salutation and the stretches. I consider JOGA a secret weapon because my body is in pain during the workout but I know that the pain is what will make me stronger. My JOGA coach, Carlie Chiovetti, is awesome. She is great at teaching all of the exercises and really cares that we are making improvements every week to help me be a stronger athlete.

JOGA was exactly what I need. It helped me become stronger in my lifts at the gym. Helping to balance out my imbalances. The cues that were given helped me understand what was happening. Not only that but the breathe work at the start and at the end has helped me be focused and calm throughout my job.
Shawn Dietrich, Head Coach – Waterloo U16 AAA Hockey Team
Johanna worked with my Waterloo U16 AAA Hockey Team this past season. We did weekly JOGA sessions with her. My players found these sessions very beneficial for their flexibility, balance and strength. Johanna was great with the players and our guys thoroughly enjoyed the sessions. This is now something I will be adding to my program for my players in upcoming years.

I was first introduced to Joga several years ago at a goalie camp I attended and really enjoyed how each session was difficult and pushed you to your limits. Fast forward to now where I was reintroduced by Jo and the joga sessions still continue to push me to my limits. Johanna does a very good job at explaining the movements so it is easy to follow and she is smart enough to notice when I may be struggling with a movement and modifies it so I don’t create bad habits and can continue with the program.

I was first introduced to Joga with my good friend Jo, I had pretty much no experience with any style of joga/yoga when I began doing virtual sessions with her. After the first session, I fell in love with it! It was such a challenging workout and Jo was able to explain and demonstrate all the exercises well so that I understood every move. She also made sure to modify any exercises that I was not able to do and made sure I felt challenged enough as the sessions went on. If you’re looking for an amazing Joga instructor and class that will help you feel like an athlete then look no further. Jo is amazing and I would highly recommend her as a Joga instructor!
