JOGA is a fun way for me to engage and focus on muscles I don’t typically remember to utilize when engaging in normal yoga practices. I don’t think I’ve ever sweat so much during a yoga class, and can’t wait to continue. Rena’s knowledge of body movement and mobility was on point. She was able to correct me using cues that were easy to follow and without having to lay a finger on me or having me feel like a complete oaf.

This practice not only pushes my limits, but it is very technical. Jennie has an ability to talk to me about my body in a way I’ve never looked at it before, from the different muscle structures to breathing points. She takes the time to fully explain every move to get me to understand the hows and the whys of what we’re doing. The wildest thing to me is that there are moves that absolutely push me to the brink where I think there’s no way I can go on, but after all the stretching and relaxation exercises at the end, I feel as though I could go run a marathon – or take a nap (it’s seriously that relaxing). All in all, I’m grateful to have had this practice come into my life, especially with such a great instructor!

I’ve seen a noticeable increase in my hip, knee, and ankle mobility, which has significantly reduced knee pain I had been feeling during tennis and curling sessions. I feel much more stable in my curling delivery now, too – those little stabilizing muscles are much more engaged than before.

Joga is similar yet different than other practices like yoga, Pilates, core training etc. The exercises can be adjusted for any fitness level from beginner to experienced. This is a great option for anyone who wants to improve their core strength, flexibility, balance & overall function. The breathing sequence is very helpful for relaxation & calming in everyday life scenarios that are stressful.
